We will critically examine and build upon global advancements in cardiovascular care, adapting successful models to the region’s unique sociocultural, economic, and environmental contexts.
Implementation and innovation
We envision an integrated approach encompassing innovative preventive strategies, enhanced implementation of existing evidence-based treatments, and support for emerging therapeutics.
Socio-cultural factors, planetary and digital health
Particular attention will be given to digital health innovations, planetary health factors, and sociocultural determinants that profoundly shape cardiovascular outcomes in diverse communities.
Capacity building and empowering the next generation
Our collective endeavour will also emphasize workforce capacity-building, stakeholder engagement, and equitable access to care. By actively involving early- and mid-career professionals, who constitute a significant proportion of our Commission, we aim to ensure fresh perspectives, sustained momentum, and the long-term relevance of our work.
